Q: recommendations for new beer?

Well I am getting pretty tired of the stables of beer choices in China like Yanjing, Qingdao, Harbin and the foreign labels present.

Can anyone recommend any other beers?

I'm curious also as many I try I dump. Whats good? Every place I went last summer listed Corona but never had any, this year I don't even see it listed. Which Foreign labels are fakes?

GuilinRaf:

I am having that problem getting cigars in Beijing. It was actuallly easier in guilin!

They announce cigars and prices but when you ask, they dont sell them.

at first I thoughtthat they were out. but no, they dont sell them or they try to charge 80 RMB for a cheap 5 RMB cigar....

TedDBayer:

I guess you can't get them mailed. I live near a reserve. they sell everything even Cubans. Mail here sucks. I finally got one parcel with a part I need, took 3 months by airmail.

GuilinRaf:

One can no longer receive cigars by mail.

Pity, since I have a friend in New Zealand who was kind enough to send me some and I would reimburse him.

Personally, I'm very fond of Xinjiang Black, but I don't know how widely available it is outside of Xinjiang.
