Q: Ridiculous amounts of stationary shops in China?

Has anyone else noticed this? Every other hole-in-the-wall shop seems to be a stationary outlet. I've been in them sometimes and they're just full of everything imaginable. I often wonder where all their products come from and if they make any money.

Everything in the store is probably made in China just like the rest of this stuff in the world so it's probably safe to assume it came from China. If they do make money it's probably very little.
