I know next to nothing about the general rules and their implementation in Chinese companies...
- dating colleagues - is it permitted?
- sexual harassment: strictly enforced?
- privacy (salary info, etc..) really private?
- can you really report someone higher up than you without suffering guanxi consequences?
- company events - like brunches and the like - are you blacklisted if you don't go?

- dating colleagues - Encouraged if it's your boss
- sexual harassment: non existent
- privacy (salary info, etc..) Everyone knows who's making what...
- can you really report someone higher up than you without suffering guanxi consequences? No
- company events - like brunches and the like - are you blacklisted if you don't go? Yes
- dating colleagues - not prohibited but not encouraged either. This seems to be neutral.
- sexual harassment: There is no sexual harassment in the Middle Kingdom
- privacy (salary info, etc..) really private? NO
- can you really report someone higher up than you without suffering guanxi consequences? NO
- company events - like brunches and the like - are you blacklisted if you don't go? YES. Brace yourself for the most god-awful experience of your life as this almost always will happen at a KTV.
Woah - you're telling me even as you sign on in a big corporation, they won't fill you in on company policy in regards to sexual harassment. As in, they don't even have a policy for it??
Have- Yes. enforce? No. I push those boundaries everyday, slapping the ass, commenting on the chest, grinding on them at the photo copier... Sure the new ones complain but after the boss hits on them while they're crying about it they realize they're in Crazy town... And I'm the mayor!
- sexual harassment: strictly enforced?
yes of course you should
I see sexually herassment, usually her ass not mine, but this is how I handle sexually herassment, it is not reported never,, however i do grade it, nothing below a 2 is worthwhile
