Q: Ryan Boundless in China, what to expect?

So for those who don't know Ryan Boundless, he is possibly the most negative and spiteful Youtuber expat in Japan. He's been there for many years and has come to hate any and all things about the country. His content is very controversial, so much that he has disabled the comments on his videos because it was easily 90% against him, he also disabled the thumbs up/down because it was overwhelmingly down. Anyway, he spits and criticizes everything about Japan and the Japanese, he gets incredibly offended and defensive in his interactions with the locals who always are very polite when you watch his videos.

He's recently been talking a lot about moving to China, and we all know that Japan is easy level for the White guy in Asia, China is hard level by comparison. At least the Japs are polite and will never let you know that they don't like you, the Chinese will, directly or indirectly but they will.

I wonder how long he will last before losing it and going rampage on some local, we are talking about a dude who goes on a rant about Japanese people being too slow at the cash register or asking where he comes from LMBO

Should be funny to watch, hope he vlogs his time in China.

He'll change his tune quickly. Chinese will threaten his life. Serpentza is a perfect example, he gives an open and honest look at China and people find his wife to threaten her. They even started a campaign to kick him out of China (uses lies of course).  Ryan Boundless and there were 2 more nutters are characters , they're outlandish to attract viewers

Englteachted:

Watched the video about defecting to China, he complains about being the only white guy while passing all the western food options, he complains about them being orderly, haha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now that he's gone I'm going to Osaka

At least you can become a citizen of Japan. In China you can marry a local and learn the language and write a 10 pages essay in Chinese and take a Chinese name, you will still be stuck on visas that need to be renewed every few years, at most a 'green card' which is just a 10 years visa.

singapore and japan are not even on the lists, your opinion, like mine is purely subjective. My problem with singapore is they deceitfully look like a great democracy when they are just like China, but better at hiding their one party control. The government is the manager of most all of the property, so if you push the party too much, your water, electricity, internet, just does not work, I'm sorry we lost your payment, we have a computer problem, when you shut your mouth and stop rocking the boat, your lights will work again.

well, first he had some serious you tube competition in China.

serpentza and his other friend i cant recall have over 700 videos from China and have been doing them since 2008.

If he doesn't get killed by a mob, i doubt he makes 60 days in China.

I think the Chinese will like him at first. Sort of allies. "hate the Japanese" sort of thing. Maybe that's why he is moving to China. He wants some friends.

You've got my attention and so, first time first went on youtube to check that about. I've only watched three videos, thus far, although not to the end. I found some traces of fatigue in his fluency, vocabulary and way of expression, especially the emotional one. Nevertheless it looked to me to be the kind of fatigue that comes off the pass of time in places one may have traveled striving to find answers to essential questions about life that led to further inquiries and a deeper need for further answers with the hope that it would lead backwards to the incipience of such an inquiry adventure.

His expression, his facial one, is definitely of disappointment probably in himself and that the endeavor he adventured on is nor will ever be met with the right answers.

As I learnt more of his story on how he made a life in Thailand without working I found out about someone who understands money, the making of it in the very meaning of probably his "for show" nickname: 'boundless'. I give him that he knows his speech and can testify with facts to every word that helped to answer many youtubers followers' question on" how he lives in Thailand without working".

The video I watched on that matter, is about him aged   41. Back in 2005 , as he stated in the same video footage, he was 30 years of age which makes him, this very 2017 to be 42 years old, probably 43.  Limited to his own  way of life and striving to survive, he speaks a lot of sense, a down-to-Earth approach and comes with solutions for a way to surviving when one puts his mind to saving money and so forth.

The same video footage depicts about the trigger that led  him to think otherwise, when back in 2005,  he found himself alone in the kitchen of his "not bigger than a hamster cage" house, coming to the "existential" understanding that he doesn't want to live that way for the rest of his like, hence the way he lived burning most of his savings once at a time, every time he hit the USD 10K in his pocket. That led to his probably first constructive and modeling existential crisis thanks to that year  utmost reading from the book "Rich dad, poor dad" written by both Robert Kiyosaki and Sharon Lechter, that would make him wise at saving money through wise yet hard working.

By the time of his 41 years of age, the time of the video footage in which he depicts about his eyes opening experience, he was already settled on the path of  a ten years of savings through different money making avenues of which youtube was one which income still doesn't touch yet as well through his own teaching business or working on behalf of other teaching business in Osaka, Japan.

So far, I found him encouraging, although I sense,  in the way the disappointment slips off through his words, a contained and burning anger that somehow makes him to be always on the go and ...."boundless".

That is what I am not curious to hear much about. Anger and experience come together and make sense on a very personal and private level. Although one may be right at being angry, slurring on other's ways of life, mentality and values doesn't really help in the endeavor to make other's  lives any better.

It first embitters and poisons the thoughts with a self entitled justice and act on others on subtle levels as behaviors to follow. Influenced this much by the anger, it will never help to grasp the real causes of frustration except that it contaminates with bias that lead to waste the very few reasons of peace or terms many strive to come to.

Unless  you are strong enough to clean the air of any bitterness and keep the best of a speech, doubts, fear and other  social emotions we are prone to, will set people on the path of vulnerability.

Hate, however a result of the life injustices leads only to hate and it eagers at keeping it that way through hate. It hunts easy prays, people with unstable values and easy to manipulate. Thus a speech about anyone, should be met with rational approach, never on emotional level, trying to always answer the very question: "why is he  or she talking like that?"

Speech about someone that is expressed with hate it becomes a speech against and seeks to nestle in other's hearts its seeds to ensure fruits of rage. That is manipulation to the speaker's selfish desire for revenge.

While people on youtube spread around a selfish and biased sense of justice that inspires with hate and further hate, they make money and teach others how to  "live in Thailand without working".

To people who go around and poison with their truth other's lives, I wish them to find rather sooner than later the peace they need.

My two cents anyway. Sorry for the long read.
