Q: Is salmonella a common problem for expats here?
Second time it hits me since I'm in China. I'd never had it before. I don't wish it on anyone...

I'm surprised this isn't a bigger problem, if anything. The way people handle meats (frozen, raw and cooked) one after the other, moving onto fruit and veg afterwards, in my local supermarket staggers me. I've even seen raw meat dropped to the floor, picked up and placed back on the counter for sale.
But hey, whatever doesn't kill you can only make you chronically sick...
