Q: is salt water taffy a good gift to give Chinese students or even work colleagues

i just read the article about gift giving on this site and thought it might make a good gift

the part of New England i come is vary well known for there salt water taffy you cannot walk a block without seeing a store that sells or makes the stuff, so why not buy some as a gift.

would it make a good gift for adults to.

would they let be bring a big old crate of the stuff or at least a box.

PS to be honest i prefer plane taffy hey make salt water taffy with a bit more salt i like mine more sour or sweet, and there is no salt water in salt water taffy every one on the east Coast just say that to mess with tourist.

For some, it might be a good gift. Some young Chinese like to eat a chewy milk flavored candy called White Rabbit. Since it is a local gift from where you live, even if they don't eat it, they will probably still appreciate it.

Jíliú.hé:

thanks you and i think i will have to try me some of that rabbit candy.

thanks for giving a real answer when i wrote this i thought it might start some insane rant about how i do not know anything about taffy because  i am some kind of secret Chinese

Food gifts from home are a safe gift to give!  If they like it,they will eat it. If they dont like it, they appreciate that you brought it from home!

I honestly dont know if they will like it, but if they are your friends, like it or not, they will appreciate the gift.

thanks for the advice

Jilu, simple, you are not even in China, yet you're posting about slat water taffy for what. You seem to use a lot of space of nonsense that means a lot of nothing

Jíliú.hé:

you know that that is not an answer
