Q: IS SAP a big industry in china

I have been studying SAP Basis Administration for 2+ years now and plan to teach English or Digital Infrastructure in china, while still studying for my sap basis certification.  Would it be easier for me to find a position in china for SAP after or before certification, and if so do I need to be fluent in chinese?

When I was hunting for IT jobs in China 2-3 years ago, there seemed to be enough to make it possible to find one. But there might also be a lot of candidates for them. If you are not fluent in Chinese you will find that getting an interview in a Chinese company to be very difficult. Your best bet would be internationals. Maybe look at what companies from your home country have sites in China, and trawl through their web sites (this is an easy task for someone like me who comes from a small country Smile

I commissioned SAP in a factory 2 years ago. Frankly, it was a nightmare. They wanted a 1 year implementation plan squeezed into six months. Obviously, it didn't work. Ended up doing it in 2 years because we had to undo and redo most of the modules. Anyway, people here don't understand structure so you can forget about processes. SAP is just too far ahead for them. Just get an off the shelf ERP program and run with it. Less painful.

A:You can still skin into China as a non-English native teacher by holding English Teaching license in your home country.2nd: Your BA degree should be completed in a native English country. Once, you fulfilled these 'parameters', you qualify for an English teaching job in China as a non-native English sneaker with Z - Entry/Working visa with Working and Residence permit later on. See the last 'Answers Highlight' ---> there is a web link posted about 'requirements for teaching English language in China as a non-English native passport holder'. https://www.gooverseas.com/blog/guide-teaching-english-china#paragraph-item-63614-target

*English proficiency: Passport from one of seven "native speaker" countries (US, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, and South Africa). If you aren’t a native speaker, you’ll need to be a certified teacher in your home country with proof of your English proficiency (e.g. IELTS or TOEFL). I'd say, Chinese will choose and look especially for a native English speaker at teaching of English Literature job openings. Posted job adverts for English Literature teaching are most likely from International Schools in China. Good luck! -- icnif77
