Q: Season-specific customs in China?
A friend told me that traditionally certain teas are to be drunk at different times of the year, based on flavor, "body" and other TCM stuff I don't really understand.
What are some other season-specific customs in China?

I'm pretty sure the amount of clothing they wear is based on season, not on the actual temperature.

In the North East it is very common to eat a lot of pickled cabbage in the fall and winter. Around mid autumn you start to see it piled all over the place. Then a few weeks later they chop it up and put in these huge clay jars. One of the things they do with it is they make a soup out of it and pork ribs. Its great with soy sauce and garlic. The whole thing is just incredibly charming.
