I've always believed a firm hand shake when meeting or greeting someone.
Nothing worse than shaking hands with a dead fish.
What has your experience been with Shaking hands in China.
And remember they may have not washed their hands
Depends on the person.....
An educated ex-colleague had a hand shake like a limp fish.
Whereas my Father-In-Law has a proper handshake. Firm grip but not too hard to try and crush your hand.
In my experience most Chinese guys have the limp fish handshake. Can't blame them, I don't think it's a traditional Chinese thing - I may be wrong of course - but if you are copying what you see on TV then you won't have been taught that a handshake should be a strong, firm handshake.
The shakin of the hands be the measure of a man.
Shakin hands with the scurvy bilge rats in the mid guo be same tas holdin a dead fish an less enjoyable. They be sayin ye be shipmates but plotting some skulldugery on the lee side.
I have lower blood pressure, so I must often bow .....to get blood into my upper head-aa....
true. i share same belief of a firm handshake.
some hold yr hand with both their hands. i thin' kind of respect.
I don't care about others handshake. I learnt long ago to take the wheel when it comes to shaking someones hand. Strong, firm and literally shake the hand.
I like to shake hands when meeting someone, but in China, the handshake is usually quite limp and then... they don't look at you, but look away. Very weird.
