Q: Shandong Province Teaching Requirements?

Hello everyone,

I've worked in Hebei province for about a year now. Prior to teaching in China I had no previous teaching experience. I am interested in working in Shandong, but most of the advertisements are asking for at least two years of teaching experience. Do I actually need two years of teaching experience to get a residency permit in Shandong Province?

Thanks.

Do you have a TEFL certificate? If you have one through SAFEA, it takes care of the two year requirement.

It has been a requirement for some time now, but mostly just as a guideline (as in, it was randomly enforced).

If they really need/want you, they will lie about your work experience on your paperwork at the FEB.

It really depends on your new employer. If they have no connects then you probably need the 2 years experience. If they have good connections then you don't need to worry. How long has it been since you graduated university? Most PSB offices just check that it has been 2 years at least since you graduated.

It's SAFEA (Foreign Expert Bureau) who issues WP, not PSB.

I don't know, what you actually need in Shandong. You can get answer here only from 18-19 years old posters, who were refused for post, because too young.

'2-years previous working experience' is requirement which prevents too young people to apply for post.

When you apply for job in China, nobody ever explain 'why did you or why you didn't get a job', as 'you were selected, because you have 2-years previous teaching experience'.

Open 'Jobs' tag, top R side of this screen, change city to "Chinqchong', and see what vacancies are there.

Prepare your CV with supporting documents, and email it to the existing offers.

One advertiser might reply, you can't get post in Chingchong, because you only have 377 days of working experience......

Now, I'm just thinking by myself: 'what would you gain, if somebody's answer  here would be: 'yes, it's required to have 2-y working experience in ChinqChong.....' ?........ on this sunny, 'cleanest air of the week' Sunday.

I think, I'm going to see a priest. In my city, they're remodeling building with some 2m high cross on the top. Looks like church, so I'm wondering, if new priest is included in refurbishing in China .......
