Q: Shipping to China from Korea

Struggling to find any reliable information on this topic.  Can anyone give me any information about receiving either boxes by post or through a moving company, into China?

I have around 8-10 medium sized boxes of personal belongings I wish to bring with me when I move to Hangzhou.  From what I understand, if I send via EMS, the boxes will probably get stuck in customs, as I do not have residency yet, though do have a Z visa.

One company wanted to chare me around U.S. $2,000 for this very small shipment.

Any and all useful suggestions or information is greatly appreciated.

Look for a freight forwarder or consolidator. Just shipped 75 pounds box from Hong Kong to Nanning for 400 HK dollars.

But be aware of what Chinese Customs allow in so you will not have anything confiscated.
