A special button in their profile that we could click, so we wouldn't have to see any of their posts.

Yeah, it would be nice to block some posters so we don't have to see their finger-based diarrhea.
Just have fun with them. I have heard that some people do the following
Give out their information to those pesky kids that follow you all over the place demanding to practice their English. Send it to the bank of Nigeria whenever they spam you for the 10 million euro's you inherited, scrawl them on bathroom doors and walls offering free english lessons, etc.
That would be nice to have I'd definitely be blocking posters like you! loL!
Scandinavian:
oh come on. You have a crush on Traveler, you comment on all his posts.
99Silva:
Its ok want me to pat your head like a little kangaroo.....traveler
Traveler:
Please, please, please go and pat a kangaroo on the head, and make sure somebody posts the results on YouTube.
I've seen this on other forums I've used in the past, it doesn't really work because other posters (who you haven't blocked) often quote the blocked poster so you get to read it anyway.
I wish we could close questions with thumbs down. Maybe 6 downers and it disappears.
Hugh.G.Rection:
Sorry Ted, I cannot agree with that one. There are many on here who downvote a post based purely on who posts it and not the content.
Your idea, would just lead to censorship, and I don't hold with that, freedom of speech in China is limited as it is without us limiting it further.
TedDBayer:
Hugh, you are right but 3 thumbs down close an answer now, same thing. I'm thinking of the posters of the three daily dumb questions.
Hi Folks,
I'm very much aware of your concern on this matter. As you can all imagine, effectively cutting down on spam posts while also trying to maintain a certain degree of openness/inclusiveness is rather tricky business.
Ultimately, my plan is to tweak the points system when we update the Answers section so that there's less of an incentive to post unhelpful answers or questions.
I already have a few ideas on how to do this (and appreciate your input), but unfortunately our technical staff is still very occupied with updating and optimizing the main website, Once that is all in order, trust me, this is will be one of my top priorities.
Thank you for your understanding. Please continue to contact me by PM or email (answer@echinacities.com) if you have any questions, comments or concerns.
