Q: Small fat boys?
The other afternoon I had to abandon my afternoon swim because the pool got invaded by kids who do not know how to behave in a pool. Anyway. 6 kids show up, aged 7-8. And they are all what I would call fat, heavyset, and all boys. I never see fat girls in China, is this the little emperor syndrome that allows these boys to eat garbage to grow faster than the girls?

When I encounter 'little bimbos', I always try to have fun with them. In the Kindergarten, when TA leaves the room, they are all over me. Pulling my T-shirt, my hair, especially my arms fur, sticking their fingers into my eyes and into other holes on my head, and in the same time talking some unknown language. I think, it would be the same, if I would get abducted by UFO. I guess, I am 'ready' for 'landing'.
You should teach them how to swim, and make them skinny that way. If not, you should just leave for some other spot.
Maybe, to the nearby Great Wall?
I'd say you're right. Not that I've never seen little empresses. They're around; but if I'm going to see parents/grandparents stuffing a kid's face with everything sweet and starchy thing he wants to eat, it's a boy probably 7 times out of 10. There's a very long history of valuing boys over girls around here. That's not been eradicated by any means. Then you also have the near-universally true cultural bias that says a girl/woman can't be a pound over average without being called names, but a boy/man can be considerably more overweight before anyone starts thinking or saying anything about it. The woman is a fat pig; the man is just "hefty."
But as to the overfeeding in general, I think that's a holdover from many years of famines and starvation. There are a lot of older people who lived through such times as children, and they're so grateful to be able to feed and overfeed their grandkids with no possibility of starvation that they can only be blamed so far, in my opinion.
One time I had soft sleeper train ride with grandma, grandpa and grandson. He was maybe 7. It was difficult to tell, because he was immensely fat that you couldn't be sure he actually had eyes. They were squeezed shut by rolls of fat. He couldn't put his arms down. The entire evening his grandparents sat on either side of him on his bottom bunk, shoving food in his mouth. Him, her, him, her, him, her in alternation with barely enough time between for him to chew and swallow what came before. They painfully short and thin: obviously lived through famine their formative years. They were also immensely proud of him, his size and their ability to feed him. It was sad and horrifying at the same time.
If you've never seen a fat girl in CHina then I know you are lying. They are everywhere!! The biggest person I've seen in CHina was a Chinese Girl she had to weigh at least 400 lbs or more! (
!!
I hope I never see Chinese women get fat. like the Walmart crowd at home. Do you time your swims, there must be a exposure time limit?
Have been seeing an increase in young Chinese boys getting the double belly pouch recently at the centres. I think with just less time the parents have at home with their kid which obviously creates a bit of personal guilt from the parents is remedied by a quick trip to Maccy D's. Add in a better income, more access to fast food and more additives and you got a genuine fatty bombom.
As in your original post, fu** small rolly-polly fat boys at swimming balls with their snot/pooey fingers and with their xiao ye snacks guwaffing over how small their dicks are.
I see fat boys and fat girls, although there are more boys. Fatness is probably due to several factors, overfeeding by parents/grandparents, lack of nutritional education by said parents/grandparents, American fast food being seen as cool, change of lifestyles - more office type work and less physically strenuous work, more money available to eat at restuarants. I was only this Sunday asked at English corner by a girl of about 12-14 if fast food was healthy. Clearly she had some doubt about it but was not receiving any education from parents or school. I do suspect that we are going to see more in the future. While we were having a drink at the bar yesterday afternoon we saw a large girl in the typical female summer clothing of pretty little top combined with a micro-skirt, just did not look right at all.
