Q: Snickers but no Reese's in China?

Hard-hitting question, I know. But seriously, what's the deal? I'm tired of eating snickers every day. A man can only take so much nougat.

You can get them at City Shop in Shanghai but they're not cheap.

In my few years of visiting China, I've never found them. Ever. But I haven't really spent much time in the bigger cities... except Guangzhou, and I forgot all about them. I would KILL for some Reese's right now.

However... enjoy: http://s.taobao.com/search?spm=a230r.1.3.19.9soa3j&initiative_id=staobaoz_20130411&tab=all&q=reese&cps=yes&promote=0&cat=0&from=compass&ppath=1930001:27409

I forgot all about taobao. Last I checked, I couldn't buy them there. Guess we can now... so I'm gonna go ahead and drop about 1k RMB on them.

I like Coffee Crisp and Big Turk

Before I went to China I read that Ferrero Roche was hard to get and made a nice gift, every store has them. I love Lindt chocolate and brought them, but they are also available in China. I'm not sure how different they are as my chocolate is made for my climate and those Lindt balls went liquid. Chinese seemed delighted to see the French/ English on the packaging.

Hulk:

I feel the same way about Chinese packaging.

Yes it's a serious situation and a damn shame we cannot find Reese's peanut butter cups in China. I tell you what. Sorry I can't help.

I've seen them at high-end grocery stores, but there only.  Peanut Butter hasn't quite caught on here yet, which is a shame.

5 years in China and never seen one.  I did bring some back from home once and shared some with my Chinese friends.  Most felt it was way too sweet which may explain why its not over here.

Oh  my god, you guys never been to the Hershey's store in Shanghai?  It is the first place I go whenever I go there to get my chocolate fix!  Here is what I picked up on my last visit.

No wonder they closed the old Hershey plant here, they moved to China.

As far as I know, they still import the chocolate.  This is just a retail outlet.  My must see place whenever I visit Shanghai.  I am a chocoholic.

I do enjoy reese's peanut butter cups more than snickers I agree. I'm not sure if they have three musketeer bars here, but I love those as well. Well, at least they have M&M's the peanut kind so all is not lost!

After reading this post I got the craving and sure enough I found them on nogogo.cn...an online imported food store that delivers here in SZ that I use all the time to get my fix of western imported foods.  Only 8 rmb each.

Mmmmmmmm...peanut butter cups.
