Q: So what did you do for Chinese Valentines?

Just interested, I didn't do much myself, the missus has got the painters in so my attempts at romance were wasted. Paint brushes and stuff everywhere, it's a mess. Ok, I didn't make any attempts, I just bought her a new skirt. Ok, I didn't buy her a skirt I just chucked her my wallet and said, "Go on, get out and buy yourself something pretty, you deserve it," then I settled down for a quiet beer. Ok, I didn't do that, I just chucked a shoe at her and said "Get out," then sat down and got drunk. But it's the thought that counts, right?

So what about you Casanovas out there? Make any grand gestures?

Please refrain from posting any explicitly sexual details on the public forum page, I will of course be accepting any you wish to send to my personal message box, and promise to give them all their due and proper attention.

 I thank you.

Took her to a romantic dinner at Pizza Hut, then came home and watched "Covert Affairs" on the laptop.  That is about as far as our romantic meters go with full time jobs and 2 kids.

BTW, Covert Affairs is her show.  I can't stand watching any show that doesn't at least have a shred of realism.  But watching it with her showed my love for her and that made her happy.

derek:

I hear that John. I watch Grey's Anatomy every once in a while with my wife. She loves it and I can't wait for it to end.  (She'll never know that tho)

I went through the Greys Anatomy phase.  That was painful.  Hopefully your wife will never drag you through the horrors of NCIS like mine did.  But to be fair, I make her watch Big Bang Theory & Eureka, so things even out.

I wrote her a note (in Chinese). That's all folks!

I WAS going to get some flowers but she said no flowers die, love doesn't.

Xpat.John:

Hopefully she didn't find out about the note you wrote the other guy.  That would have been awkward.  :)
