Q: So who is staying at home during the holidays?

My Chinese friends and my Chinese girlfriend are all gone back in their home provinces, I am staying in Guangzhou/Foshan area because I didn't want to go in the sh*tholes they call home, not going abroad because I want to save money and a week is too short for an interesting trip anyway, both cities feel so empty especially Foshan as it apparently goes from 7 millions to 800000 people during national holidays and spring festival.

What are you people doing?

I always stay home during the big holidays in China.

This year, I'm making it 'ready' for EU visit in few days. I was ready for HK visa run, but School's paying for the trip (lucky moi), and their suggestion was EU visa pick-up. 'Save & bring back both tickets' is a must.

I'm all ready with the tickets, I should just pack my bag & pillow (10'), and leave next week.

So, I'm not really doing anything. Hanging online, and such.

Why didn't you take a trip down to HK?? Laughing out loud

Home - I have assignments due, and I hate crowds!

Eorthisio:

Because HK is kind of a big mess right now for these 2 reasons:

-The students protests are blocking my favorite district Causeway Bay (aka. food heaven).

-The National Holidays are when the most Chinese go there for shopping, even more than during Spring Festival.

It was sarcasm... although, I admit, I didn't think of the crowds!

Well, I'm pretending to work. I live in a very touristic city so everything is crowded. I can't even go for dinner or to my regular bars because it's hell outside.

I'm working this whole week so I can take time off later when it's less crowded and cheaper.
