Q: So you think I'm Chinese?
I am hoping this challenge will put an end to this repeated stupidity once and for all. I'm totally hacked off with being called a liar, so I am going to do something most people (myself included) usually say never do. I'm going to give out my personal details on an internet forum.
This is aimed particulary at Crimo who is constantly saying I (and others) are actually Chinese, but the offer is open to any others who think the same.
IM me and I'll give you my FB link, you can message me there and I'll call you some names, what is more I'll link to what I say here. Further you can message (on FB) my friends to confirm I'm not Chinese. The FB account is several years old and pre-dates both my time in China AND my time on this site.
I won't send that link to any anonymous posters or any 'new' posters, (I'm not THAT stupid), only to the regular posters here. I will only be able to do this in the evening as I don't have a VPN at work and I'll need that to link to my FB account.
Hopefully, this will put an end to these constant snide inferences, that MOST posters have long ago accepted were false.

I know where you're coming from saying Brits are insecure, I don't think i've helped with my tendency for self-effacement, I often take it as far as self-flagulation, but we all have our little kinks, I guess.

It's obvious to many of us that over the years you and your colleagues, (the usual suspects) have developed and honed your tactics and skills to the point where it is easy pickings to dispose of a lone individual who disagrees with your collective hate and bile. Your cosy little 'spin' and win environment.
Then out of the blue come three distinctly individual British 'blokes', who seem to you, to be connected in some way. (The Chinese Connection!!!!, dan dan dan). The fact that we don't know each other from Adam, and in all probability would not want to know each other (“she who shall not be named”) but, that we seem to get along reasonably well with each other and hold roughly the same views about China, is causing you and your cosy cronies to be flummoxed and decide that this is a chinese government plot to destroy the United States of America, well this tiny part of it at least. (humour) Just as you think you know that some of your people are american, we certainly know our britishness by our unique ability to laugh at ourselves and, because you know nothing about humour you immediately latch on to the paranoid thought that we are chinese and out to destroy you, not that it makes any bloody difference where we come from. I could be from Timbuktu for all that it matters. It is completely irrelevant, unlike the fact that you have an agenda to bully and intimidate anybody who disagrees with your distorted and hostile view of the Peoples' Republic of China.
So you all get together and decide to employ the usual tactics used by you and the 'usual suspects' over the years - 'We'll call them Chinese imposters, that usually does the trick, we'll insult them with our violent and disrespectful comments, that usually does the trick', we'll call them liars, that usually does the trick ', and if all else fails, we'll ignore them. But, sadly for you and your 'mates', these tactics don't seem to be 'doing the trick' this time.

We both know that there are some of your fellow countrymen who can see beyond your spin and paranoia. I have a large number of United States' friends, I'm sure you do too, who feel very ashamed and embarrassed by your attitude. You don't appear to be a very good advertisement for the United States of America, but I know that with your attitude being the way it is you're probably not really going to 'give a shit' anyway. It's people like you who give your country a bad name. Constantly spouting “I am who I am and that's the way I am, get used to it, I'm not accountable to anyone” eventually morphs into “we (USA) are who we are and that's the way it is, get used to it, we, (USA) are not accountable to anyone”.
You have no excuse, you are also a representative of your country whether you like it or not.. I understand, that in your passport your government does suggest or request that all holders of a United States' passport (a privilege and an honour, I'm sure you will agree), should conduct themselves in a manner that reflects the great nation that is the United States of America. How the hell did you get a passport? I wonder if it can be revoked?
There is happily, the majority of people here who prefer to look at China with an open mind, who see the faults, and yes, there are a lot of them, as in most countries around the world. There are decent people here who are prepared to give China and it's decent people the benefit of the doubt in their quest to see a vibrant, happy and prosperous nation grow responsibly and become an asset to the World Community. (another topic for another day perhaps). They are decent people who see your constant implied, often hostile criticism and negative spin to be unhealthy, unreasonable, unnecessary and rude. These people and China will prevail. You will end up like so many of your compatriots, chasing ' terrorist ghosts' and 'reds under the bed' until you pop off this mortal coil. It is your 'democratic' right to think and do what you like of course, you have the freedom to choose, just like us in the UK, incidentally, we have the even greater freedom and the right not to have nor carry personal identity cards in our own country. (good old her, who's name shall not be spoken). British humour.
I hope that you are able to read this carefully and not 'get your knickers in a twist', jump too soon to any conclusions and most importantly not 'nit pick', please try to read it intelligently and fairly. You will of course take the piss and use offensive language and attempt to belittle.

I'm currently in Qingdao, will be on my way to Lianyungang tomorrow. What is the difference between me and Crimo? I rarely generalise, he almost always does. I rarely criticise my hosts without some constructive alternative, he almost always does.
I try and avoid, letting our hosts think ALL expats are as rude, ignorant and ungrateful as him (and a few others). Personally I think that's important because such posts just breed hatred of the expat community so idiots like Crimo (and others) in the long run make my life in this country that much more difficult.
Hugh, I think the only person who really believes this stuff is Crimo, God bless him. In actual fact it makes me wonder whether he really is a teacher, he should be familiar enough with speakers of a second language to recognize when someone truly is a native speaker. Ok, firstly my apologies for a, this thread and b. resurrecting it. As far as I'm concerned this is the final post from myself on this topic.
Of all the people on this site one person only came forward and took up my offer to look the 'real' me up on FB. This person has since said I "check out". No-one else came forward, although the offer still stands, so I have to assume everyone else (including the 'usual suspects' to steal a loke line) either in their hearts know I am who I claim to be or don't want to find out as they are chicken hearted cowards who cannot face up to their own mistakes.
Secondly, and the part that will probably please most of you, I have given up trying to persuade you of who I am and will take the advice 'why do you give a f***' so eloquently given by some. I no longer care what you think. To that end I will continue to challenge the racism, the sweeping generalisations and I will continue to point out hypocrisy when I see it but I will just block out the snide innuendos that mainly originate from that pri** who used to piss me off.
Thank you for bearing with me and like I said, from me, no more of these navel gazing posts.
