Perhaps something containing balloon animals, latex and large amounts of candy in your pockets for them to dig for.  Velcro & ball gags might come in handy too.

But, I am not a teacher so I really wouldn't know.

Teach them simple commands: sit down, stand up, clap your hands, turn around, jump, showing all commands with your action.

I make them do commands two or three times, then I include 'give a hug to each other', if Chinese assistant is handy.

After you'll hug Chinese assistant, kids will all run toward you, and try to hug you. All in the same time.

It looks hilarious for spectators, because kids falling on the floor, and claiming over each other, while trying to hug you.

Make kids look happy and smiling.

Songs are the key. If you can get active and work yourself for thirty minutes you'll be good as gold. The songs must have body movements to accompany them e.g. my body makes music, head shoulders knees, toes. If you do not know the movements to any given song then just create your own. Teach them by singing a line (or a few words) at a time. Do this several times and make sure you have a good recording of a song you can play at the end where it all comes together. In between "performances" you can drill some flashcards related to the vocab in the song. If you are energetic, can be versatile with your voice, and know when to move on (and when to milk something) then you should get through the class well.

Or better - avoid demo classes, waste of time, you don't even know if you'll get the job...There are plenty of places that don't require that...

Do a hello SOng, at the end say goodbye they love to say hello and goodbye. Draw a face on your hand and act like the hand is talking to them. Just say some stuff funny stuff like my name is handy they use me around the house to do a lot of things. You can shake their hand and say nice to meet you and act like you are eating them with your hand. Your demo is finished.

If the parents are going to be in the 'lesson' one key thing to remember, you aren't teaching the kids you are selling to the parents.

TBH you don't so much teach 3 - 5 year olds anyway, you play with them (or even better get them to play with each other) and put language skills in the games.

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
