Q: A song to make you feel better - about things.

I propose an obvious one.....a great one.  John Lennon's 'Imagine'.

Any other recommended songs that can lift one's spirits?

I heard on the radio this afternoon about a German man who rides his bike to places of  shock and horror and plays Imagine on his own musical instrument ; a piano, I think.  Today he arrived outside the Paris theatre, after riding 400km to get there, and proceeded to play.

Three Little Birds by Bob Marley

Helplessness Blues by Fleet Foxes (the lyrics are more uplifting than the title would suggest.)

Good choices. You may like Marie Bérard too. Child prodigy with the violin, now in her 70s, plays a 1767 Pietro Landolfi.

Get I-tunes and free download on FrostWire.

I'm not sure how is with I-tunes on Windows, but it comes with Safari/Mac.

Can't live without puter, I mean music on it. I didn't buy or pay for music since 2002.

Baroque music is good for the soul.  Plenty on youtube (need vpn in prc).

You can also find some darn good relaxation music there.  This one got 13,219,195 views. 3 weeks ago someone asked if it was any good with headaches. A blind person (they are particularly adept with hearing, goes without saying) answered "I bet you meant headaches?  I have to listen to what's written with assistive technology, as I'm blind, so it speaks what it "reads."  Once I spelled it out, I knew what you meant.  And yes!  I have Trigeminal Neuralgia, and this music is so easy to listen to and tune out the noise inside my ears.  The pain is still there, but it goes away more easily.  If you have migraines, this music is good played very softly......Heather"

This is my ringtone on my phone. I always feel happy to hear it

http://v.youku.com/v_show/id_XMjA3MzMwMjA=.html?from=s1.8-1-1.2

royceH:

I listened to it for 60 sec.  No real objection to it but that was long enough.

As an aside, my mate told me yesterday that my phone doesn't play a ring tone but some bloke speaking rapid Chinese until I answer it.

In the car yesterday; My Hero, Greta Bradman.

I enjoyed it so much I drove around the block while I played it again, this time much more loudly, which is, I think, the way to go.

Do try to give it a bash.
