Yes.  Why?  Why spread the news?  What news?  Perhaps it's a one-off.  LIke, uh, a accident?

diverdude1:

yeah, u are right, I jumped to making this post too quickly. It's just that the way I first heard about it, a scared phone call from my gf seeing if I was ok, and the way it was first reported on chinadaily.com tripped me out a bit...

In case you didn't see it, it seemed like chinadaily tried to tie it in w/ Teacher's Day, and the teaching of English language in China, And they kinda made it sound like it had sth to do w/ yesterdays explosion outside of that school in bum-fk wherever...

Sorry you were alarmed.  Leave it up to the media (anywhere in world, actually) to sensationalize events... Footnote: China Daily is a rag of a news source by any world or local standards, high and low.

I heard it was a methane pocket near a restaurant that was ignited by a cigarette.

trying to be funny at this time is really dumb....don't you have any feelings towards the people who died.

For once, you are right, I apologize. I thought it was an accident cause by an unsafe load on a three wheeler. The things you see in only in China. I thought it was caused by Chinese stupidity, not Chinese insanity. What did the nut case hope to prove?

wtf??! Why would anybody want to do that if it's not their job to do so? I got more important things to do then to start spreading rumours around.

TedDBayer:

Then do us all a favour, go do them and don't come back here.
