Q: State of Origin
Anyone in Beijing who will be watching State of Origin tomorrow afternoon?
Just read an interview with Peter Higgs (Namesake of Higgs Boson) where they asked him about the 'God particle'. Higgs laughed and replied that the particle had nothing to do with divinity. God particle was actually a polite shortening of the phrase God Damned Particle because the particle was so god damned hard to find.
And when asked what practical applications would result from the discovery of the Higgs Boson, he replied "Damned if I know. “It’s around for a very short time. It’s probably about a millionth of a millionth of a millionth of a millionth of a second. I don’t know how you apply that to anything useful", Higgs said.
