Q: Stay-cation activities in Beijing?
I'm staying in Beijing for the holiday and I kind of want to go on some day trips that aren't overrun with tourists... any suggestions?

The lack of answers here probably tells you all you need to know.
The Summer Palace is very nice, YongHeGong is good, I didn't like Forbidden City, it alls looks the same to me. 798 is worth a day out. If you can get to the Water Great Wall （水长城) I'd highly recommend it. When I went it wasn't overcrowded at all and it was stunning. It's where the Great Wall was submerged by the building of a dam. I can't tell you exactly where it is as I have no idea where we went, but I'm sure you can search
