Q: Stressing! What is here the true?
The Chinese regulation says that only citizens of countries where English is their native language (and we all know which countries they are) can get a working permit to teach in China,but (there is always a but),yesterday I found this:
,,Under the law, only foreigners with teaching qualifications or a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certificate or TESL (Teaching English as a Second Language) certificate, are allowed to teach in China."
Which includes citizens from other countries too.
And yeah,I got this from news published last month.
So what is here the true? Somebody knows?Yes?No?

As far as I know, all matters to get Work visa (Z) in China were centralized, i.e. employer can apply for employee's WP and other Z docs. only online and rules are set:
1. Passport holders from Native English countries (USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa) qualify for Working permit in China ...
2. There is a slim chance Non-native passport holder qualifies for WP: '... if degree was completed in Native English country ... '
TESOL, TEFL or any other English teaching certificate won't get you WP in China.
To really judge your 'news', it would be helpful if you could include weblink of the 'news' ...

2. They are a certified subject teacher in their home country.
