Q: Stupid company directives, anyone want to share?

Don't need to give examples as I'm sure you've loads of your own.

Okay, just one: refusing to hire staff based on skin colour.

Friend of mine, from Ethiopia. A school wanted to hire me because they had some customers  who were going to Ethiopia, and needed to "polish" their English. I took my friend with me and offered him instead. I pointed out how he is actually from Ethiopia, so not only can he help them with their English but he can also teach them about the culture, what to expect, etc.

No go. They wanted me instead. They actually said "his English is too terrible" even though he speaks with a British accent.

I told them to go to H.ll.
