Q: Suicide isn't a Joke .

To the dickheads whom think suicide is funny have a think about it.
How many kids in China alone take their own life because of the pressure of grades and family expectations.
Have you lost a student to suicide?
Personally ive lost some good mates to PTS and there isn't a week that goes by I don't hear of a loss of someone to it.
Sometimes the hardest battles to win ate those inside ourselves.
Anxiety is just a part of it past actions and memory of those actions are the thing that can push an individual over that knife edge they walk every hour of the day.
As big and and strong as a person can be ....there is something inside of us that can bring you to your knees.
Sometimes just having a vent like talking to someone can help save a life.
So in closing may I ask once again.
If you or someone you know needs help please for you and your families sake ask for help.
In Australia lifeline is a 24 hr number 131114
Beyond Blue 131500.
The UK you can call Samaritans 116 123.
May I ask you to Please post your countries numbers here too.

Those who say they will kill themselves, never do it.

philbravery:

Maybe...but is it worth the risk?

I know plenty of people who have said that, and then later went on to do it.

Yeah, TOTALLY not true!

After all, it's the ones who don't do it who you hear about it later and you think just say it without meaning it.

China may be behind others with the urgency of the problem, but i suspect as the population declines, more singles pressured to marriage and refuse, and the aging demographic will force them to divert funds and labor to find better solutions for suicide and mental health in general, but first they have to least teach more psychology classes and stop saying every criminal was just temporarily crazy in the moment of their actions. This would be a good starting point. It's not good when your trying to get the population to grow, that the future breeders are checking out early, like cows running away before you get the milk and meat. The sad story of a child and father closes the factory, the unintended consequences, lost jobs, lost taxes, ruined families of others, all these lost transactions more than pay for the mental health enhancements needed but short term thinking instead of long term probably keeps the same state of affairs.

People kill themselves for a number of reasons - but basically it all comes down to one... they want the world (around them) to be different from what it currently is.

That may include constantly reliving past traumas (eg, rape, death, war, etc), or being in a situation that seems to outside of one's control (banks foreclosing on the house, the spouse who wants to take the kids. the online bullies who constantly insult, harass, personally attack).

Obviously, such people don't see a viable, effective solution (that's not 'difficult'). So - the bank has taken the house.... these things happen, and people survive... and get much better!

I, personally, don't have a problem with people who decide to kill themselves. But then, I believe in reincarnation... they'll just come back anyway to a new situation (which may not be as good as this current one!) Also, people die every day from other causes...so why is suicide such a stigma?

@Phil... I'm surprised! You seem sincere in your plea to help suicide-thinkers. And, I would imagine, including the many kids (and some adults) who do so because of constant victimisation, harassment, insults, hate, attack and bullying that occurs online. And yet....

Hotwater:

I think you need to read and understand my reply to Engles again...while I partly agree with his "selfish" tag I no way said people who commit suicide are cowards. I have a personal understanding of depression though obviously will be different to other people's issues. I've also seen friends take their own lives for a number of possible reasons.

I also see shere you're coming from.

Hots... the cowardice reference in NO way had anything to do with your post. Only to Engles who specifically used that word.

No, it isn't funny. That said, the ingenious ways and rate mankind is ruining Earth means this species is committing collective suicide too.

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
