Q: suzhou safea address

My boss is useless, have to do all of the running for the FEC crap myself.  Does anyone have the address for the Suzhou SAFEA branch?  It isn't on the website, I checked.

When you'll talk to person at SAFEA, be polite. Tell them your name and name and city of your school. Then, explain the matter, and ask for officer's email address. Offer detailed explanation through email. Officer can text you her/his email address to your phone.

You're splitting the hair here. A bit!

I told you web link has Provincial SAFEA's address and ph. nos.. There's no difference. Same as you would call BFI, and not local sheriff. BFI will contact responsible cop in your area.

Spiderboenz:

Yes, I have that address.  The officer that I spoke to told me that I need to get it done in Suzhou, because my city (Changshu) belongs to Suzhou.  I need that address because my supervisor is "too busy" and if I wait until she isn't, time will have passed and I will have to leave PRC.

So, why didn't you ask him for Suzhou's ph. no.?

Always, when I called ph.no. of the link, officer called right person, who returned call half an hour later.

Call them again, and ask them for the phone no. of your city's SAFEA.

Are you telling me, that instead to ask for local SAFEA's no. at Provincial SAFEA, you're better off to ask for Suzhou no. here?

Nobody has local SAFEA's no. but Provincial SAFEA. Only them can/must help you.

I'll call Engld on you.....

Address, not phone number.

And it slipped my mind to ask for it.  I was so excited that after 80 calling attempts I made it through, that I just asked the questions that I had written down

It sounds strange, what you're telling me.

In Fujian, SAFEA contacted school directly. In Urumqi, they gave my ph. no. to local guy, who returned the call half an hour later. In Liaoning, I'm not sure who mustered the school in Dalian, after my call. Everybody were just different, when I returned for the classes.

In Zhejiang: 'my name is, I work at......Explanation of the problem.' I was on F, so illegal. SAFEA broke Helen's balls with calling me just to check, if everything what they demanded of Helen was full-filled.

You don't need local SAFEA. Call ph. no. on the web link on Monday, and follow my instructions:

1. your name and name of the school;

2. ask for the help and advice, eg. 'play stupid'! Explain the problem;

3. offer detailed explanation through email;

4. I'm sure, local SAFEA will return call.

You were at local SAFEA in your 1st week in the city. Two weeks later, you got FEC.

I just walked by this place, so I am not sure, but this is all I gots ...

You know the Leqiao subway stop? Renminlu? Near there. Get off at Leqiao, go south on Renmin, not very far ...

On the west side of Renmin is a hospital. It's obvious, but if you went to the hospital, you went too far. (oh hahah). Go back north from the hospital to DaShiTou Alley. The map says the PSB is there on that DST/Renmin southwest corner.

That's the PSB. I think. If not, walk west down DST to the police station and maybe ask them.

This is all very close to the subway stop/Gan Jiang.

Or check a map. I cannot upload the map I have, but it says "PSB" right there on that corner.

Oh DaShiTou Alley is the first east/west street south of the metro road: Gan Jiang. Lotsa construction.

What a mess. Hope that helps. If not, hate me later! No need to rush!

Seriously, I hope this helps.

Spiderboenz:

What metro line is it?

I work in Changshu, so am not super familiar with the metro layout. It does help, considerably. Thanks.

Dohhh! sorry I missed the Changshu part.

Leqiao is on line one, just the second stop east of the line one-line-two crossing point.

You got a Chinese friend to help, I hope?

 I can't afford misspelling and miss-labeling in English, because I'm Nonangel. I couldn't remember right label yesterday, so I just wrote bank's name instead. I'm for the 'quick' solutions.

I think, I answered about city's SAFEA address with: 'It's the same office, where you were first week you came to the town. Two weeks later, you received FEC.....'.

My point is: 'FT can't cancel FEC by her/himself. School must/can cancel FEC online, and SAFEA will mail FEC Cancel Cert. to the school's address few days later. No need for the address of SAFEA, unless you want to file complain in person. Not necessary either, because if you dial ph. no. on the web link, Provincial SAFEA will take care of the business.

I was in Yingkou, Liaoning, city of some 10k residents and...female cops regulating traffic on the city's crossings. All skinny, above 175 cm. Traffic crossings in Yingkou look like 'Police Uniform Fashion Show'. City's traffic accident rate must be high.

School in Yingkou wouldn't tell me address of SAFEA, so I entered SPD across the street, and asked for the address. After manager handed me address of SAFEA in Chinese, she asked me if I could teach her son English. I posted some Italian 'readjusted' Chinese delicacies from this city. See 'mooth risotto' thread. Real happening.

I should write VNP. o2,02

Enter the Bank, where you hold an account.

At the counter:

you: 'Do you speak English?'

counter: 'Yes, how can I help you?'

you: 'Could you tell me please, address of SAFEA? It is big Gov. building.'

counter after 5': This is SAFEA's address in Chinese. You can show it to the taxi-driver.

you: 'Thank you! Have a blast.'

You can do the same thing, anywhere where there is possibility somebody understands English, as Pharmacy or Hospital. PSB, too!
