Q: Taobao, Alipay, ABC... and IE

Easy question - what versions of IE do you use for the above? I've been using older versions because the newer ones don't appear to be supported.

Firefox doesn't work - unless something has changed in the last few months or so since Itried it.

What about other browsers?

My wife is doing many online shopping with 4-5 different chinese banks, and firefox is really worst for above options ( because it's secure, i guess) . even Chrome, you have to use older versions which supports the old certificates issued by banks. latest chrome refuse some certificates as outdated and unsecure. IE has to be in version 6 to work best, but with my techy paranoya, I always update everything, so i push my wife so it results in conflicts time by time, but then i say - use the old outdated things and don't cry if someone stole your money then ...

I don't know what those are but I would just like to take this opportunity to say:  ditch IE and get a different browser like Chrome.  You'll thank me later, I guarantee it.

hi2u:

My online banking for bank of america doesn't open in Chrome, but opens in IE.

Exactly!!! Some Chinese sties only operate on a particular platform! Hence the question...

So, switching to Chrome might make me regret it :(

the chinese version of explorer..the green e logo..works fine for online banking and shopping...

latest chrome has started to work fine for alipay payment...previously it didn't.

Lord_hanson:

That would be 360 explorer. The number 1 choice in spyware.

Nessquick:

anything from 360 is really bad, end very difficult to uninstall from computer, it keeps a lot of spyware and folders, and need to use special tools to get rid of them.
