Q: Is tattooing a proof of braveness for man?

  • I just wonder why man like to tattoo although its painful.
  • In my opinion,it does not look beautiful and it just like a unremovable scar throughout your life.

It actally become an addiction.  It's like spicy food.  A little pain releases chemicals in the brain that creates pleasure.

As far as the beauty, well it's in the eye of the beholder.

Pain is pleasure to some. Tattoos can either be art or a drunken mistake. Depends on the person.

I have four little-ish tats.... including the one in my profile picture. I don't think it's a sign of bravery. After a few moments of the initial pain of the needle, it becomes quite... nice.

GuilinRaf:

Very well put! I fully agree and can see how it could be addictive. I toy with the idea of getting a second one,not because I really want another one (I am quite happy with the one i have) but because I rather found the pain relaxing.

Yes! The only one that hurt is the one on my shoulder blade... never again! I fell asleep while they did the one on my chest.

A little controlled pain that you fully expect coming has nothing to do with bravery.
