If you're working with wrong visa (other than Z/Residence permit), Contract you signed is not binding/valid. Both, you and School are violating Chinese law.

You or your employer are not required to respect Contract, and you can quit anytime you want.

However, I suggest you find new employer/visa sponsor, first.

If you are working on the right visa, contact SAFEA. If the school has broken the contract and not paid you, this is unacceptable.

What visa are you working on? Which country are you from? I can't give you good advice until I know these details? Also, exactly how have they broken the contract.

Englteachted:

Does anyone else notice how he avoids giving details, I mean important details. How late did they pay you? How many times? Why did they say you need to pay 2000rmb?

I also noticed how the anonymous poster failed to give more details in quesitons recently, or follow up. This poster is very similar to the poster who asked a question about being given a warning letter........

sounds like because you are teaching on the wrong visa, your employer knows this and has you in a corner. However, if you want more practical advice other than what has been given previously, you have to include more information !
