Q: Tennis or squash in Wuhan

Does anyone play?

 

Coming to Wuhan (Xudong) in July and am keen to play on a regular basis if anyone is keen.

I think only Government officials play tennis.

 

Squash.... Nope.

 

Badminton. That's the one. No need to join a club. Go anywhere, people will be playing badminton.

Not in Wuhan, but I used to play squash here in a gym. I guess if there is one court then there are probably more.

I also had no problem buying a racquet. They were quite common in mall sports departments so I'd assume people must have been buying them for a reason.

 

The weird thing was .. while they sold the racquets, they didn't sell squash balls. God knows why, I had to buy them in another country.

 

I asked the sales girl once why you would sell the racquets but not the balls and got the blank look of stupidity.
