Q: Is there any travel agency in Shanghai that can help me get a visa to Japan?
I'd love to go to Japan but I am not sure whether I can get a tourist visa in Shanghai . I'm originally from Moscow and don't feel like going back home just to apply for this visa.

Normally, the first point of call would be the website of the place you want to go to.
Have they said no to you? Have they refused your visa application? Have you even applied?

Depends on what visa you are on in China. If you have a residence permit, you should be able to get a visa. There is a visa centre in Shaghai that handles visa applications for many countries, although I am not sure if Japan is one of them, If you are in China on a tourist visa, you might have to return tu Moscow to get a visa.

I do have a VPN and my Chinese husband will pay for the trip so the only thing I need to do is get the visa. I do have a residence permit but I don't work officially at the moment...
I haven't applied so far as I'm trying to figure out whether it's possible to get it here or not.

I did find some information on Russian websites but it seems most of my countrymen gave up on Japan because it's hard to get a visa there. Thus I wonder if there's a travel agency that could help me get a visa.
