Q: Is there a cheap travel health insurance for outside China?

I have company health insurance for China. I need coverage for traveling other countries. Just something if get under a bus or catch Malaria.. I guess most insurers look at your country of residence first, and that's China now. Any suggestions?

It depends on which country you'll be traveling to, what kind of insurance package you want, how long you're going to stay in that country.

I just bought an insurance package a few days ago for Thailand. It cost me 230 RMB, and that was the second-best one they had (they had 3 packages in total). The insurance will be valid for 18 days. The insurance company was called Pingan insurance.

But my friend had to buy insurance when he went to Germany, and he paid about 500 RMB. His insurance was valid for 3 weeks. He didn't mention where he bought it though.
