Q: Is there a Chinese website to send free SMS in China and abroad?

I think this would be useful sometimes if I want to send text messages with some Chinese characters (I don't know how to write them myself on my cell phone) to someone who's either right here in China or living abroad.

Anyone know?

I have used 123 Greetings for years now, and they do have a selection of cards in Chinese, but the website is in English, and they deliver all over the Planet.

Please go to http://www.123greetings.com/events/chinese_new_year/happy/chinese41.html

and browse and see if that is what you want.

Just get Skype and buy time.  I always send SMS using skype and can make it appear to come from any number I wish.  You can cut and paste from Google translate.
But usually I carry on Chinese conversations using SMS by copying and pasting into my Goggle translate app....it's been a godsend.  I translate the Chinese, then type in English, translate copy and paste and presto....no need to spend any money.

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change student visa to labourer one is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
