Thanks! Does anyone know how large the investment must be? Does a house count? Must be a business? Im guessing number 4 to be with a family.member or spouse is bunk. I heard before you must be here for 5 consecutive years , yet the article mentions nothing.

We got the list from the Shenzhen PSB in Louhu. Marriage and living in China 5 years in a row, owning a house in your name or Chinese wife/ husband, having a baby with your Chinese wife/husband and 200,000 in her/his savings is supposedly able to get you a 10 year grean card. But who knows. Haven't rtried it yet.

The only difference I have noticed so far is that now the information is displayed in various PSB/consulate websites, instead of being hidden deep deep down, unreferenced and described in very cryptic terms. Which was the pre-2013 status.

The rules are still not clearly defined, the requirements are contradictory but from what I gathered, you need having both been married AND employed for five years in China (this is what I have read in PSB websites of various cities last year, I can't guarantee it is still valid, but if it's not, then you have your proof it's an unstable regulation not aimed at being applied), plus the financial perks which is, I guess, at the discretion of the local authorities since not all provinces are equal.

My advice is don't bother, it's not worth it and probably a hundred times the trouble of a simple RP procedure, which is a joke for anyone who would actually fulfill what's needed for this permanent residency status.
