Q: Is there really a difference in quality of Apple products in HK and the mainland?
Everyone tells me to buy the new iPhone in HK instead of waiting to get one in GZ. What gives?
The main reason is price. Even though Apple products are made in China, they are actually more expensive here because of laws that make them actually 'import' the product into China and hence pay the greater shipping costs that mainland China charges.
The second reason is to ensure that you are actually getting a real product. Lots & lots of rip-off products that are very hard to tell from the originals.
Hong Kong has one of the lowest prices on iPhones in the world. HKG will probably get iPhone 5 before China. China also charges a luxury tax on things like iPhones.
Yap,just price is different.HK version is Cheaper.No other difference.so you should buy iPhone 5 in HK instead of in China.Just by your choice.
