Q: Is there really a maid cafe in Shanghai?

Someone once told me there was a maid cafe in Shanghai. The original concept is Japanese, but I think it wouldn't be completely unsuccessful in a big city here. Actually, I'd love to work in one, or even run one myself, but that isn't possible for me for several reasons. There's a new bakery that opened here, it's called Sweet Castle. The women that work there wear a cute apron. What do you think about maid cafes? Would you go to one? Have you been to the one in Shanghai?

Why isn't this posted under specific cites: Shanghai? Well, I always try out things that are new to me so yes I would be interested. If the food is on point and the service is good I would keep going. Those are the two things I look for in a good quality restaurant food cafe. Good Luck!

What is a maid cafe? Servers dressed up as maids?

Jnusb416:

Exactly. I'm sure you can find some stuff online, it's pretty popular in parts of Tokyo.
