Q: There's human waste all over my shoes. When will China stop being a public toilet?

*le me walking around to get dinner*

*looking around and observing the skyline from the street*

*apartments above the stores, with bad pipe design, are leaking water on everyone*

"Hrm, I better move to the steps if I don't want to keep getting wet."

*continues occasional observation of the skyline, admiring the thick gray haze that permeates the atmosphere"

*ssssquiiiiish*

Arrrrr... *almost slipped* Huh, what? Oh... some guy just took a crap and a piss, at the same time, outside the restaurant, on the sidewalk. Literally outside, on the steps. *angrily mutters to himself, "pucking pigs," while others glare at me for being an intolerant foreigner. "But this is China!", I hear due to my telepathic mind-reading abilities (sino-induced schizophrenia, probably) *

I walk through the grass to hopefully wipe as much as I can off me, and then return to the hotel thinking "It can't get any worse. I'm inside now, and won't have to deal with them again tonight..." but... some guy pisses in the elevator. The piss is just dripping down the elevator shaft, and a lot of it is still on the elevator floor.

WTF?

Do you think I'm becoming racist? Or is it just a BCD? I'm starting to think a majority of Chinese people could be compared to savage apes.

BCD. It took a generation to make Switzerland one of the cleanest countries in the world. And the ENTIRE country took part in this initiative.

I always watch where I walk, when I drive I watch where I drive. I even see caterpillars on the road and try to avoid them. Use the Force, it works Luke.

Question, how did you know it was human, did you taste it?

Hulk:

Maybe the pulling up his pants ... ok, I'm going to throw up.

Good point Ted, butt...do 'craps' tastecool differently? I want to know the name of the 'sampler', too. There is certainly 'military stepping talent' present here, also.

Different craps smell different, cows, horses, dogs, people. I let Sparkey sample when I take her out for a walk. Saves on the monkey chow.

I keep reading here about how dirty China is. I agree that their public toilets are a disgrace. But I have never seen this kind of behavior out in the streets, at least in Nanning which is the city I am most familiar with. I have traveled extensively in South China but never encountered any of the kind of situation. I can only guess that what other members are experiencing is in the big cities?

Hulk:

Big cities? No.

I've visited almost every major city in eastern/central China, hundreds of countrysides and lots of county-level cities. Been to more than a dozen provinces. They ALL do it. I think Hunan is the worst for it, though.

Isn't Nanning supposed to be wonderland or something? Hugh G. and martian wonderland...

You must need glasses. Can you read signs that are distant? I saw a guy having a dump in the middle of a 4 lane street one night. Maybe that was as far as he could walk and hold it?

I honestly feel bad for you. I've really never encountered that problem where I stay. My apartment complex is new. The only piss on the elevator was from dogs usually when they are too excited or when it's raining outside and their masters decide to take them out anyways.

Watch out at night. A lot of places are almost pitch dark/black. Too hard to see. You shouldn't have any problems during the daytime spotting those clumps on the ground.

Hahaha, this post just made my day. Thanks Hulk!

Which city are you in?

As Ted said, you'd be fun in a mine field! Laughing out loud

Hulk:

Taipei at the moment. There are some delays when it comes to posting. This happened a few days ago.

Eeeeewwww. That is all. If you're in Taipei, does that mean you're on the way home? Hang on has mini-hulk been born?

TedDBayer:

Why go to Taipei if he's flying home, better rate?

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
