Two 16-year-old boys have been arrested by the counter-terror squad in a dramatic daytime operation.

Two teenage boys allegedly carrying knives and notes pledging allegiance to Islamic State have been arrested by counter-terrorism police outside a Muslim prayer hall in Sydney's west this afternoon.
9NEWS understands the two 16-year-olds, who are both known to police, were on their way to Bankstown police station, carrying large hunting knives and handwritten notes.
Hours after the arrests in Bankstown's Adnum Lane, the mother of one of the boys arrived at the police station and was taken in for questioning.
Video obtained by 9NEWS shows a man being arrested on Fetherstone St at Bankstown this morning.
She denied her son had any involvement.
"Nothing happened, he go fishing and nothing happened," she told 9NEWS.
One of the young men being questioned by police is believed to have been arrested several years ago after he was accused of refusing to stand for the national anthem at a school assembly.
Both teenagers remain in police custody.

Police have said there was no on-going threat to the public.

This type of event is becoming more common.
I just don't get why people find their way to a country that provides the necessities of life for them in the form of government handouts in many casesand still they want to turn it into the same type of shithole from whence they came.
Before the Eunicorncities PC warriors get their knickers in a knot, obviously a very small minority of people are responsible for these type of acts. And not all are immigrants or refugees. Home grown unicornheads do their fair share of despicable acts.
As un-pc as it may sound, perhaps it is time to shut the doors, at least partially, for the time being. The world has become an increasingly dangerous place recently and it is the responsibility of our governments to keep us safe regardless of how small the risk. This is not anti-humanitarian as some libtards will claim. It is a pragmatic solution for an extremely complex issue.

There's one some 2y old thread, I can't recall the title, but there were some 7-8 replies with Scandi & Samsara as posters and every reply got way more than 10 'downs'.
I don't remember what did we talk about.

If you consider a half a dozen generations an immigrant, it may be so. But i don't think any of my family went out of our way to kill those in our adopted country. What do you reckon mate? It's all good for people to go to another country to live, accept all the benefits then go out and murder the very people who paid for those benefits? I'm interested in your ideas.

Is it me or is this Deja vu. I support the idea, but I don't know if this is evidence of it. Where are they from, I don't see it mentioned.
But yes iWolf, civilized countries need to close their borders to uncivilized cultures. We have to admit that the world isn't a peaceful place.

It's easy to preach peaceful utopian tolerance when your in the protection of China and not actually in the country where this social experiment is taking place. What they left out in this news link is that the defendants lawyer asked for a lesser sentence for his client because. ..wait for it.....because his client is a Muslim.
