Q: Tongue piercings - something not acceptable at all in China?

I have never seen a Chinese with a tongue piercing. Is this literally the most horrible/puzzling/revolting thing only 'laowais' do?

I've seen one girl with one but that's all. Body piercings in general don't appear to be that popular, and given the women's general slender build a belly piercing would, in my opinion, look very sexy.

As an aside, the idea of piercing your tongue is allegedly due to increased pleasure given when performing fellatio, which kinds of begs a question of any men who have had such an 'operation'.

I'm sure that a number of ladies would be excited by the idea of enjoying a cunninglinquist with a knobbly tongue.   (excuse spelling)

u would think so, but lots of guys are doing the tongue thing and it has nothing to do with being gay, just where trends and fashion has gone towards.

just like when ppl thought  gays do 1 ear and not the other, which bs, you can see plenty of people on tv with both ears pierced and im sure they arent gay

and ive met some chinese people with body piercings, just depends where  in china you go and what kind of place you are looking for.

I asked my students about piercings once. The girls and guys told me that if they get even an ear piercing, they'd seen as "bad." Some of the girls did have their ears pierced and a few of the guys had an ear pierced because their parents let them. Almost all of the guys and most of the girls didn't even have that and said they wouldn't want it because of what people would think. So I would think that any other piercing would be out of the question.
