Q: Torrent to download movies from Beijing

Hi guys, why does torrent don't function in Beijing? For example, I could download movies from thepiratebay.se from south of china, but from Beijing I can't?

What torrent sites do you use to download movies?

thanks

Just google or bing what you are searching for.  Multiple sites are available...

GuilinRaf:

Problem is many of those sites have nice little viruses or spyware. Sooner or later, you will get one that is better than your anti-virus....

I know what you mean.  I followed someone's link from this site intending to watch some streamed TV shows and movies....that site was chock full of spyware.  There's a handful of sites that haven't given me trouble.....yet :P

I use kickass torrents frequently but I guess you can find many other wesites if you just google what you are searching for and add torrent after the movie's or song's or whatever title...

the best way is to sign up to the torrent site, make few uploads by yourself and as a contributing member you will get preferential treatment..(not piratebay...i don't touch that site)
or after downloading *.torrent update/edit the torrent with trackers..(add more, as many as possible)
address (announce) are changing constantly, as the sites are being harassed by the authorities.
plus the client is important... some clients use blacklist..check if yours does.
also your firewall and/or something like "malwarebytes" or anything along those lines might block some addresses.
but the most crucial thing are the trackers... sometimes if you look at the torrent there is only one or two trackers...not enough unless you are member... don't become member of any site that is using porno.
(if they desperate to have porno, that's mean they don't care about integrity of regular torrents..like movie which tells you to download a specific codec...a common scam)

I use torrents for specific reasons, photography and old movies from 50's, 60.s and 70's another word a rare finds...So I keep adding trackers almost daily..there are movies that i am hunting for many years with no Cigar...and i am not the only one...nostalgia i guess.

if you use Linux platform..there is an app called "torrent search" you can get from this site here.
http://sourceforge.net/projects/torrent-search/
(doesn't work that well on windows..dunno why) anyhow you will get thousands of results.. google/bing is a poor way to fly.

BTW. looking at the peers, China is in the premiere league along with the Saudis
(either not enough petro-dollars to buy or it is haram)

Anyhow, personally I am a scumbag ..i block all....only trusted peers.

P.S.
subscribe by email to this site, you won't find any torrents there but a lot of useful current information...

Torrents work fine here.

Maybe you have network / firewall / router issues? (blocked ports?)

I have problems with torrents sometimes. In some friends' places torrents don't download at all, I think it is something with the router or the internet provider. I use kickass as well, it is slow as hell but I just leave it over night.

A:I'll give my two cents on the age part. It's not as easy but can definitely be done. I was 21, fresh out of university and landed my first teaching job in china as a homeroom kindergarten teacher on a pretty standard 20,000/month salary. I'm 1 year in now and am still happy. Pretty much all international kindergarten jobs on here want 2 years experience, but many will still accept if you have experience in your home country. With that being said, being white and having a nice looking face is much more of a decision factor in china vs the west, if you can- use it to your advantage. Good luck finding something! -- brinsleym
