Q: Transferring work permit from Zhejiang to Jiangsu (Suzhou)

I got a teaching offer to work in Kushan City in Jiangsu Province (one could literally throw a rock and hit Shanghai). I now live in Zhejiang where the schools have not opened yet, and I want to go back to work. Now, I am with an agent in Zhejiang, who is the holder of my work permit. I want to quit him and take this job, and this isnt a bad paying position.

Has anyone ever transfered their Work Permit and Residence Permit from one province to another, especially to Jiangsu and know the requirements? I do not have a current Police Report, and Zhejiang has not asked for this to renew my Residence Permit even while changing employers. I have read in the past from people in Jiangsu that I can sign a form stating I do not have any convictions anywhere, and I have signed this in Zhejiang (Hangzhou) in the past.

Everything else I have and am current.

So, my question is has anyone ever change provinces and what the requirements were? I dont want to quit the guy I have if I cannot pass the requirements for this position.

I changed provinces/transfer RP&WP several times, once in 2012 (Liaoning to Xinjiang) and in 2016 (Henan to Guizhou).

Then, change of laowai labour law came in 2017, so it is pointless to describe the process I went through.

In short, for transfer before 2017 you had to have: Release letter & FEC cancel cert. for new employer to start process of WP/RP transfer. Signed Contract with new sponsor, too!
