I'm a teacher here at the moment and while I really love what I do this isn't something I want to be doing forever. Does anyone have any advice on what industries someone with the sort of skills that you pick up teaching could transition well into? I'm open to working within China or back home in the West.

What are your qualifications?
A school friend of mine went to St Andrews university, got a degree in history, then decided he wanted to be a car designer.
He applied for car designer jobs, and never got a reply. Another school friend, whose dad owned a bus tour company offered him training as a bus driver. He loves it. He drives all over Europe.
Do what you think will make you happy. And good luck

Yes , the west is one place. The West, you can be a teacher of the East because in the West they know nothing about the East.
