I bought my girl friend on EBay 6 months ago, so it's too late to get a refund now.
In the 6 months I have been unable to pry much about her life or what she wants, feels or needs. We either email or web chat dailly. She is not a lttle young girl. I get the standard simple girl, simple life and not much story to go along with it. I know she went to university, and to me a simple life is living in a mud hut collecting eggs. At some level I find it refreshing because many women I've met are so self centered, they can talk all evening about their own history of wearing makeup or bla bla bla.
I'm generally insightful of people. But I can't peel enough layers off her to get a good look inside. I read that Chinese people are humble and modest, I also think much of what I read is a load. Are most Chinese women so reserved? I just want to know that there isn't a dragon lady in there. How do I trick her out of her shell?

Well if she's over 30 and isn't married or divorced I would think there's some kind of story... I wouldn't pry to much personally as you may not like what you find (don't ask questions you may not like the answers to) If she's sexy enough and nice enough for you and you're happy with her and you feel you couldn't score any better with a woman then leave well enough alone (don't stare a gift horse in the mouth!)... This is just my 2 cents.. Also the "Chinese people are humble and modest" is a load... They are anything but.
over 30, divorced mom & pop, married sister works in accounting. I'll meet the family see how it goes,, I'm eating with a fork,, and buy her an iPad, now that I know what the perfect gift is... whats an iPad?
Leave her shell unbroken, take a good look at her mother, this will give you some good insight into what you are getting into. Mothers have a strong influence on women, but I think it is even stronger for most Chinese.
If it all seems a little too easy, I would question it.
I hope you have a good time man!! You flying to Beijing? Shanghai? Guangzhou? then on to Guilin?
