I wasn't aware of Uniqlo until I came to China (though of course it does exist in the UK). When I discovered it, I was overjoyed - thin-cut, smart yet semi-stylish clothes that seem to do the job perfectly for smart casual dress for reasonable prices. I've been shopping there for around two years now and have found their clothes to do durable and sturdy, which is great considering the price (although it's not that cheap I guess). Am I the only one who could rave one all day about Uniqlo or does anyone beg to differ? I'm yet to have a bad experience regarding dodgy and goods, bad customer service (they're always super friendly and professional). The only thing that annoys me is when they constantly call out "welcome to Uniqlo, please try on whatever" every two seconds.
Of course you are too good to be true, because you are not true. Vicki always wanted to be the centre of attention and when everyone got thoroughly fed up with her along comes her alter-ego. If she cannot achieve "fame" under one personality she will under another. God help the guy she does manage to hook.
I have several pairs of jeans, t-shirts and a bit of other clothing. The wife also has several (probably a lot) things from there and is happy with it. She did buy a piece of clothes that had a small flaw, they replaced the item without discussion, they said they could do a refund but then found they couldn't as my wife only had the cash register receipt not the receipt from the credit card terminal. So she had to pick another item.
I think the first pair of jeans I have from there is 2 years old, in perfect shape despite being frequently used.
Also, UniQlo has yet to implement the concept of attacking it's customers when you enter the shop, yet still have staff available willing to help.

Good comments Scan. Oh, no attacking types? That's good. I trust that you didn't encounter the MORON type like I did today when I went to a shop. I've seen a number of comments about this type of Chinese female..late 30's..completely stupid/childish with the maturity level of a five year old. BABO!!
i have bought socks that have lasted over a year so far, hasnt happen with socks from anywhere else in china. being a japanese company instead of chinese may have a factor in the operation also.

Really? I bought two pairs as a trial run since I had never heard of the store. Mixed bag for me. One pair blew out after 3 mos. The other is still going strong though.
I've got a pair of sweatpants and a nice button up shirt from there. The shirt is a lint magnet, but otherwise, both pieces have held up well.
I've been a uniqlo customer long before i came to China. They're jeans are generally good value, although they do tend to lose their original shape after a while. I'm a huge fan of their thermal long johns and sweaters, as well as boxer briefs. By and large, I do think uniqlo is overpriced though.

Overpriced? Compared to Uniqlo, some of the Chinese clothes I bought were lower quality yet still more expensive after bargaining.
Thanks for reminding me! I need to go to Uniqlo again. Great stuff. Buy two of everything.
Uniqlo is one of my top 3 places I like to go. I just got some athletic clothes there which were on sale for 39 kuai for a gym shirt and 59 kuai for some graphic t-shirts!
I bought winter parka at Uniqlo for 500 Rmb last December, and it is holding well. It replaced my 10 Y old J. Crew rain jacket.
I like to go 'for a look' to Uniqlo in China, but I'm saving bigger expenses for my yearly visits to HK after every summer.
I'll go into a uniqlo every so often to have look around too, but I don't ever really find anything that fits my personal clothing style (too much fleece stuff). I bought a pair of socks there ones that have held up well though.
