Q: Unwanted roomate all of a sudden

So I have been here a month and recently I have heard alot of noise. I have 2 rooms but my school locks the other room, I come home and find someone has moved into that room. Am I wrong for being annoyed, my contract just says I will have one room so I guess they can do it.

I sometimes move into locals' apartments too, so I guess it's okay.

How can they be your roommate if you have your own room, and you only have access to one room. If you find the noise unacceptable, knock on the door and express our concern.
