Q: upcoming strict traffic rules

Now a days, if police catch you while breaking law, they will send you for classroom learning. My father in law got caught crossing yellow double line - they cut 2 points from licence and send him for 3hrs training. He just back from that and made me afraid...

From Jan 2013 - any offense will have to go to classroom training. No matter police catch or automatic pic by camera. much more strict. The duration of training depends on the offence. They will cut points from license as well.. Drive at >150% means 12 points, which means license is gone... 120% is 6. Signal/yellow line etc 2 each...

Also heard from 2013. china will launch yellow school bus.. If the bus is stopped on your right lane. Then you have to stop also. Overtaking thru left is prohibited on a 4 lane road. 6 lane road.. you could overtake thru left most lane..

Any further info?

This I have to see to believe - however I applaud the change. Will it be enforced? Honestly I can't imagine it will but stranger things have happened in China. I'm all for it!

Thakkudu:

i was actually worried opposite way... means i am so used to breaking law that... i might have to end up in training course...

Anyway.. u r right.. if everybody drive properly.. it can be a great change

the school bus law is strange for me... is it same in any other country? waiting with an empty road ahead.. understand the idea is that swchool children might cross road without looking...

ohh god I hope that info is accurate. People being held accountable for actions would enter into the picture, and hopefully bleed over into other areas of society... not to mention, the streets would be a 100 fold safer

increasing the penalty does not make the traffic police enforce the rules. if the penalty is higher, the cash a traffic cop can get under the table increases.

derek:
