You don't have a Z visa in your passport now?

So of course you can get it back home, but get all the documents before you leave China and get your Z visa in your home country.

Hi JohnD

What is a "group" visa?  Is it a tourist visa?

There are loads of threads about this on loads of forums. Easy to find the info you need.

To be honest though, if you are here working on anything other than a Z visa and the associated residence permit, then perhaps it's better if you go home for a while.  Do some research.  Apply for a job from your home country and get the working visa sorted out before you even think about buying a plane ticket back.

Sorry if that's too blunt. If you can't master a little online research to find answers to simple visa questions you will find yourself totally not up to dealing with bigger issues when they arise here.

Sorry again for my negative answer.

The visa group is a new financial support system released by the PSB last September 2013.. It works like this: If you want to extend your L visa for another 30 days by yourself no friends, you must show the PSB you have Y23,000 to support your trip, thats in Shenzhen and its a tad expensive here. Next, the visa group is a group of people going to the PSB together and tjus making it easier to get you L visa extended.

@ Ironman

I thought that was a scam being run by some agents in SZ.

I have seen posts about it on SZ stuff.  It's basically an L visa yes?  The agents take a bunch of passports to the Consulate and say they are running a tour. As you say, it is a way to get a tourist visa without having an invite letter.

Hmm.....I've read the OP a few times now and no way is he Irish. The syntax is wrong......"i wil go back to ireland on chinese new year"....ON Chinese New Year? If he was Irish (or British) he'd write "AT Chinese New Year". Post seems suspect to me.

ScotsAlan:

Of course it's suspect. Don't want to get the guy sacked on his first day angel
