Q: Visa question about US Tourist - check yes or no for this?

From experiences, can anyone inform whether to check "yes" or "no" to the question about "having a travel companion"? Which one to check would give a tourist visa better chances?

If yes, what kind of relationship would be best? If no, is there further scrutiny among this answer?

While if you check 'yes', you'll be required to provide everything doubled: money for 2, job and apartment in China for 2, and similar.

Isn't that logic by itself?

Remember, you're not dealing with morons at the Embassy. I'd rather think, I'm very stupid, than I'm the smartest one, when am doing similar thing.

Doesn't matter how, I never, ever admit anything!

Here's a thought

try being honest on your application.

are you traveling with someone? yes/no

What is the nature or your relationship? financee / husband/wife / bf/gf

Do you want to be caught out in a lie? yes/no

they are simple questions.

You have the answers for yourself and your companion.

Well, will you have a travel companion? If yes, check yes. If no, check...  actually f**k it, just say maybe .

I don't think you can make up an imaginary friend for a travel companion. Honesty is usually the best policy.

Always always always give the least amount of information possible. More answers leads to more questions, fundamental in science as well as bureaucracy.

Be honest, you'll get your visa if you prove you're coming back.
