If any of you have been toying with the idea of checking out Happy Valley over the next few days or weeks, don't! At least not now. I made the unfortunate mistake of going to the one in Beijing last Monday, thinking that Monday would not be as crowded as the weekend. But boy I was wrong. It turns out all kids are off school at the moment so where do they all go? That's right, Happy Valley! Each and every child in Beijing seemed to have been squashed into the amusement park on Monday. To cut a long story short, I have yet to try out any of the cool rides because I couldn't be bothered waiting in line for 2+ hours. That's not an exaggeration!

it is summer time. Apart from the fact that schools are off, there are also more tourists around. (although there has been a drop of the number of foreigners, for obvious reasons)
I'd check out her happy valley.
Sorry, I'll get my coat.
Too true. That reminds me of my first day in China and the frustrated words I overheard from a somewhat seasoned expat: "1.3 Billion people in China and they're all trying to get on the same train as me!!"
Thanks I was planning to go there too....I guess I'm going to have to make other plans..
I was planning on going there to look for Sparkey. She's be the one lost and crying.
There's a ride at Happy Valley called The Victoria. Very popular, but you can only ride it once.
