Q: Was Bruce Lee bigger in America than he was in China?

It seems that Bruce Lee was very popular in America. Do you think he was more popular in America than he was in China? After all he did become an American eventually and said it himself that he was an "American".
I've noticed some people not agreeing with or acknowledging this. There is a Bruce Lee statue in Hong Kong where he grew up! Was he more popular in 'America' or 'China'?
Any useful information with sources would help!

I imagine spending the day with you would be like masturbating with a cheese grater!
Slightly amusing but mostly painful.

he "became" an american when he was born in S.F. (he was raised in HK, not china) and technically can never be claimed by china.

further proof that you are not american. chinese are taught that bruce lee was chinese. i almost got into a fight with my class when they tried to claim bruce lee. i would kung fu anyone that tries to take him from us devil

mattaya:

why do you keep repeating over and over the same thing. Is it because your girlfriends parents didn't think you were American? I read your post.

He seems very popular in the South, whereas when I lived in the North he hardly got a mention.
